Warwickshire Consortium Teaching School Alliance
WTSA SCITT Programme 2021-2022
Applications open Tuesday 13 October for The Warwickshire Teaching School Alliance (WTSA) School Centred Initial Teacher Training programme (SCITT) 2021-2022. This research informed programme has been devised to develop high-quality teachers to work in the early years and primary phase. It equips trainees with the skills to meet the challenges of the teaching profession by placing them in the real world of practice. Trainees will experience placements across some of the best Nursery, Infant and Primary Schools across Warwickshire and Coventry for 135 days on the job training. The course also benefits from contributions from acclaimed and highly experienced EY teacher educators and mentors; providing bespoke training to ensure trainees are qualified and skilled as capable teachers fully primed to start on their teaching careers. In addition to covering all Teaching Standards, the programme includes an emphasis on multi-agency working, leadership in the EYFS , working with 2-year-olds, SEN/D, and practitioner research.
You will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at the end of the course and gained the skills and resilience needed to teach children during their most important phases of development.
Places are limited so we advise applying early.
